The Department of Energy and Climate Change commissioned Nice and Serious to produce an inspirational film to be premièred at the high-profile launch event for the Low Carbon Communities Challenge.

The Environment Agency asked Nice and Serious to film British Council International Climate Champion Aazim Ihsan at the annual Environment Agency conference environment09. The film explores what young people should do to fight climate change.

Nice and Serious regularly work with the world famous Science Museum to film events held at the Dana Centre which encourage increased public engagement with science.

Nice and Serious have worked closely with the Energy Saving Trust to produce a variety of films for different uses. From Green Communities, to Local Authorities, to the innovate 'Pay As You Save' pilot scheme, we have helped the Energy Saving Trust communicate their message in an interesting and engaging way.

Nice and Serious filmed the entire 4th Annual Climate Change Summit for the Ethical Corporation, which you can buy on their website. As well as the event videos, Nice and Serious created a short and snappy video which featured business leaders from from different organisations and sectors. They provided an insight into what sustainability means for a business and why events such as the Climate Change Summit are so important to the wider agenda.

Nice and Serious were commissioned to produce a series of short and engaging videos to motivate staff to think about sustainability in their day to day activities. Some of the films actually involved some of the Natural England staff in the production process which was a great way to get him them involved in the campaign.


Ipsos Moriwhite_space

Ipsos Mori

Nice and Serious produced several films for Ipsos MORI as part of the Big Energy Shift campaign, which aimed to gauge the public's attitudes and opinions towards low-carbon technologies and energy efficiency. The team produced an engaging event film along with a public address given by Ed Miliband, the previous Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change. More recently, in collaboration with Dialouge by Design, Nice and Serious produced a thought-provoking series of short interview-based films to explore issues surrounding Geoengineering.


Global Action Planwhite_space

Global Action Plan

Nice and Serious produced 10 short films for Global Action Plan and Sky's Appetite for Action Campaign. The films were created to get school children engaged with sustainability and were distributed to over 5,000 primary schools around the country. Nice and Serious have produced a series of other films for Global Action Plan, including a film for the Climate Change Champions event in the Houses of Parliament as well as a short video to engage non-environmental charities with the potential impacts of climate change.

Nice and Serious work with Futerra, the UK's leading sustainability communications agency, to deliver a wide range of inspiring and engaging video projects.

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations teamed up with Green Alliance and Global Action Plan to engage non-environmental charities in climate change. Nice and Serious were commissioned to produce a video to capture the essence of the programme by interviewing the project partners and the participating charities.


Footprint Friendswhite_space

Footprint Friends

Footprint Friends, an online environmental networking site for children, organised the 2009 Wipe Out Waste awards in London. The WOW awards aimed to find the best ideas from around the country to help schools wipe out waste. Nice and Serious produced a lively event video, in the style of Dragon's Den, as well as visiting all of the finalist to provide media training in the run up to the event.

London College of Fashion - Centre for Sustainable Fashion

In association with Given London, Nice and Serious filmed and edited a clean yet artistic piece which linked together simple sound-bites to form an engaging conversation about India's position within the ethical fashion arena. The film was used as a key communication tool in the Shared Talent India project which brings together industry leaders within the ethical fashion arena.

Nice and Serious have worked with powerPerfector to produce several promotional videos to help highlight the environmental benefits of their Voltage Power Optimisation technology.

Nice and Serious have worked on a number of environmental-research based projects with Icaro Consulting. The films helped to communicate people's insights into a range of environmental practices, technologies and policies.


Energy Saving Daywhite_space

E-Day

Nice and Serious have worked closely with Energy Saving Day for the last two years. We have produced a range of engaging video content, including a short documentary about the impacts of climate change on the Isles of Scilly, numerous online event videos, promotional videos and a viral video campaign. We have also organised a film making and environment workshop for school children on the Isles of Scilly, to teach them about good journalism and environmental issues, by helping them to produce a short news report. As one of the main side events at COP15, the Climate Spark talks aimed to explore how businesses are responding to climate change and sustainability. Nice and Serious filmed and live-streamed the talks online, so that people from around the world could tune in to the discussions.
