Pessimism vs. Optimism in Sustainable Business

So, here we are again filming with Jo Confino and the Guardian Sustainable Business team for another round of Enough is not Enough. We’ve done 5 interviews so far and only one more to go. So far, it’s been a great all round performance from all the contributors and the messages have been far reaching and thought provoking to the say the least. However, one point of contention that Jo has magnificently brought to the table is the hope for the future. As it stands, the optimists outweigh the pessimist by 4:1 but having listened to the last talk from Giles Fraser, I can see myself easily swayed towards the doom and gloom view of the future of our society, economy and environment, despite being an eternal optimist.
